-Rachelle Prewitt Dries-
Rachelle Dries received her Bachelor of Music degree in Violin with high honors from Meredith College and her Master of Music degree in Musicology from Florida State University. Ms. Prewitt studied violin with Paul Gorski and Phylis Garriss and has performed in the Raleigh Civic Symphony, gave several chamber performances, choral performances, solo violin recitals, and performed with the Early Music Ensemble, the Florida State Univ. Baroque Band, on the Baroque Violin, and many places in the area. She is presently a memember of the Wilmington Symphony Orchestra.
Mrs.
Dries has taught privately at the Raleigh Conservatory of Music and in her
home, and taught classes in High School and College. She has been honored with
memberships in Pi Kappa Lambda, an elite honor society of musicians, and Sigma
Alpha Iota, a service organization of women musicians, and is a member of the
American String Teachers Society, Early Music America, and the American
Musicological Society.
